There were also plants to be seen. Right at the parking lot Kim spied a Wood Anemone. March Marigold and Trillium were sighted along the trail. The highlight of the trip for me was when Kim guided us to a group of Birdfoot Violets. These are state listed and I was very thankful that Kim showed them to us.
